You are invited to journey with the four of us through these experiences we continue to have in the classrooms of our lives. Our common bond is in the sisterhood of life, teaching, ministering yet still learning. We bonded during a city-wide school strike that we believe was orchestrated by a power greater than the work stoppage of our school custodians. We are all retired now and share our stories with others who hopefully will benefit from an everlasting gifting that has been placed in all of us that compels us to receive and respond in a proprietary manner. Gloria Sharpe Smith is an author and inspirational speaker. As a retired teacher and woman of faith, she shares the knowledge and wisdom that encompasses a lifetime of extraordinary and fulfilling experiences. Gloria is a trained life skills leader who enjoys mentoring, traveling, and serving others. She has two sons. Dr. Shelley M. Fisher is a catalyst for change. She believes all people have greatness within just waiting to be unleashed. She has served as a teacher, principal, curriculum writer, consultant, professor, chaplain, ordained minister, author of four books, and Certified Mentor. She resides with her husband in Indiana. Ernestine Meadows May, retired teacher and administrator, has traveled internationally to collaborate with other constituents in China to study Play and Education for children. Credentialed in Montessori Methods, B.S. and M.S. degrees from University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Indiana University, she resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband. Doretha S. Rouse's passion is prayer, and she is an acclaimed prayer warrior who wants to see people victorious in life. She is a retired teacher and was elected to the citywide school board. She was married to the late Frahn Rouse. She has two children and three grandchildren.
